Education in La Marque

Four school districts, two private schools but ONE COMMUNITY.

La Marque is unique in the fact that there are six school systems within the city limits. Depending on where they live, school-age children could be zoned to Dickinson ISD, Hitchcock ISD, Santa Fe ISD or Texas City ISD. Private schools also operate within La Marque City Limits at Abundant LIfe Christian Academy and Mainland Preparatory Classical Academy. As of April 2019, open enrollment opportunities have been closed.

The area of the College District encompasses 237 square miles, and its taxing district includes the five independent school districts of Dickinson, Hitchcock, La Marque, Santa Fe and Texas City. Its service district includes Friendswood ISD and the part of Clear Creek ISD located in Galveston County.
